Webinar: Long term changes in water quality of Lake Biwa with special reference to global climate change

On September 21, 2022, collaborated among the Indonesian Society of Limnology (MLI), Southeast Asian Limnological Network (SEALNet) and Research Center for Limnology and Water Resources – BRIN, has conducted the webinar with topic: Long term changes in water quality of Lake Biwa with special reference to global climate change. The keynote speaker is Prof Shin-ichi Nakano, Director of Center for Ecological Research (CER), Kyoto University. This webinar was conducted in conjunction for anniversary 10th the Indonesian Society of Limnology (MLI) this year.

Some points from this webinar are: long-term monitoring in lakes is very important, the monitoring should be continuously conducted as long as possible, socially important and strategic lakes, one or two, at least, monthly regular monitoring, minimum parameters would be temperature and Secchi disk depth and one station or institution for each lake.
